Hon Abdul Rahim Dawood

Reelected as MP for North Imenti on the Jubilee Party ticket

Born in 1964 and lived his early days in a place called ‘Makerere Village’ which is presently the Meru Muslim Primary and Secondary School. Both his parents and grandparents who were also born in Kenya.

His is simply known as M'Marete and he describes himself as the brownest person among the Ameru people. His story is that of the ultimate outsider who charmed and won the hearts of the local people. 48 year old Abdul Rahim Dawood made history on March 4th 2013 when he became the first non-indigenous person to be elected to Parliament in the Meru region as the MP for North Imenti MP.

Core focus: Infrastructural development as part of the Constituency Development Fund (CDF). MP Rahim has also made dramatic contributions in the areas of Education, Health, Philanthropy and Infrastructural development. One only needs to visit his constituency to see the change he has initiated.

Dr Swarup (Kiprop) Mishra

Elected MP for Kesses Constituency, Eldoret on a Jubilee Party ticket

Dr Swarup Mishra was born in Odisha, Eastern India on 18th January 1965. He did his basic MBBS in medicine and postgraduate in obstetrics and Gynecology from India and during his college life he was a student leader in Eastern India. He joined Moi University as a lecturer and consultant at the Department of Reproductive Health; College of Health Sciences in 1997 and became Head of Department in 2008.

Dr Mishra Kiprop is the founder and Chairman of Mediheal in Kenya & Rwanda. These health facilities are the pioneer of many specialties’ and advanced medical fraternity like Neuro, IVF, Imaging, Kidney transplant, therapy and critical care. He is also the founder of Meditech University situated at Nigeria Shopping Centre in Uasin Gishu County. Currently Dr Mishra Kiprop is the Chairman of India-Kenya Health Committee and a member of India Business Council.
